AI4Gov

AI4Gov is at the forefront of harnessing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data technologies to drive evidence-based innovations, policies, and policy recommendations for democratic purposes.

The Project

AI has emerged as a transformative force with the potential to revolutionise various sectors of society, including governance and democracy. The integration of AI holds promises for enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness, and inclusivity of democratic processes. Recognising this potential, AI4Gov stands as a pioneering initiative, spearheading collaboration among policymakers, public institutions, legal and social science experts, and AI specialists.

The project aims to develop evidence-based innovations and policies that empower democratic processes while addressing ethical, trust, discrimination, especially related to gender, and bias issues.

Through a comprehensive approach, AI4Gov seeks to introduce solutions and frameworks that facilitate informed decision-making for policymakers and enhance citizen trust in democratic institutions.

Our Contribution

Through collaboration and commitment to ethical principles, WLC empowers AI4Gov to develop comprehensive solutions that enhance democratic processes while mitigating risks associated with AI integration.

WLC ensures that AI4Gov’s initiatives prioritise fairness, transparency, and accountability, particularly concerning gender-related biases. This ethical focus is complemented by a meticulous analysis of legal frameworks pertinent to AI, including those governing its use and regulation.

At the core of our involvement lies the development of a comprehensive framework designed to address not only immediate legal considerations but also to anticipate and navigate the broader implications of AI within the public sector. This framework adopts a multifaceted approach to assess AI technologies, taking into account their impact on fundamental rights, ethical principles, and gender equality.
